These proposals include a three month fuel tax exemption. However, as of the end of June the proposal is not being thought of by Congress. It could be a while before gas rebates begin to be offered in every state. Although President Obama has suggested the idea of a national holiday for gas taxes, he has not found any law that would allow him to fund it.
