Governor Cuomo also has proposed tax relief for renters and homeowners who are paying gas taxes at or above thresholds of federal minimum. He’s even proposed to cut the tax on gas by half when the price for fuel without leaded hits $4.51 per gallon during summer. Some politicians in New York state have also support the idea of suspending state gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.
