A few political figures in New York state have also been in favor of suspending the state’s gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.

Although the federal government is not looking to roll out any kind of stimulus plan as of yet, state lawmakers and president Biden have come up with various ideas that will help consumers. The proposals include a three-month period of a gas tax vacation. But as of late June no concrete plan is currently being examined by Congress. While President Obama has offered the national gas tax holiday however, he’s been unable to find any legislation that could fund it.
