They aren’t available in all states
Although the federal government is not endeavoring to introduce any kind of stimulus plan state lawmakers and President Biden have put forward a variety of ideas to aid consumers. These include a 3 month gas tax holiday. However, as of late June it is unclear what is being looked at by Congress. It will be some time before gas rebates begin with every state. While the President has proposed the idea of a national holiday for gas taxes but has not come across any law that would allow him to fund it.
They are controversial
