The federal government should consider such a program as an effective method to counter the rising costs of gasoline and other items.

Some politicians in New York state have also proposed suspending the state’s gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.

While the federal government is not endeavoring to introduce any kind of stimulus package however, state legislators and the President Biden have proposed various proposals to aid consumers. This includes a three-month relaxation of the tax on gas. However, as of the end of June no concrete plan is currently being discussed by Congress. It could be a while before gas rebates start for all states. While President Trump has even proposed an all-national gas tax holiday and has not yet found an acceptable legislation to finance it.
