A few political figures in New York state have also support the idea of suspending state gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.
These aren’t available in all states
Although the federal government is not planning to launch any kind of stimulus package state lawmakers and President Biden are putting forward various plans that will help consumers. The proposals include a three-month relaxation of the tax on gas. As of the end of June, nothing concrete is being taken into consideration by Congress. It could be a while before gas rebates begin to roll out in all states. While President Trump has proposed to extend a national gas tax holiday however, he’s yet to find any legislation that could fund the holiday.
