The federal government should take into consideration this program as a way in order to lower the prices of fuel and other commodities.

Some of the political leaders in New York state have also advocated for the removal of the state gas tax of 33.3 cents per gallon.
These aren’t available in every state.
Although the federal government isn’t trying to put together any type of stimulus package states’ lawmakers and President Biden are putting forward various plans for consumers. These proposals include a three-month gas tax holiday. But , as of June 30 no concrete plan is currently being examined by Congress. It will take a few months before gas rebates begin for all states. Although the President has been able to propose that a national tax holiday on gas but has not come across any legal way to fund it.
They are controversial
No matter the politics behind the idea it is among the many options to assist Americans combat the high cost of gasoline. However, they’ve met with some resistance. Just two months ago House Democratic counsel panned the program, claiming that it would drive inflation, was prohibitively costly, and was not well targeted.
