Southwest Gas Thermostat Rebate – The concept of gas rebate cards has been discussed in Washington for a while and has potential to provide families with financial relief, especially considering the fact that gas prices increased to $5/gallon this week. However, a White House official says the Biden administration is not advocating for a program of this kind, as it would be difficult to administer and require Congressional approval. A gas rebate card may be a suitable temporary solution but there are a lot of issues to be solved before it can become an actual reality for American customers.

The purpose of these rebates is to help people cope price increases. While they aren’t a federal program, many of these rebates have been issued by state governments based on surpluses. The federal government must consider such a plan as an effective method to counter the rising prices of gasoline and other goods.

While President Trump has even proposed that a national tax holiday on gas but has not come across any legal way to fund it.
They’re controversial
However, regardless of the political implications of the idea, gas rebate cards are one of many ways to help Americans cope with the costs of gas. But, they’ve faced some resistance. Two months ago House Democratic counsel panned this plan, saying it would drive inflation, was too expensive, and wasn’t targeted well enough.
