A few political figures in New York state have also agreed to suspend the state’s gas tax, which is 33.3 cents per gallon.

While the federal government isn’t in the process of implementing any type of stimulus package states’ lawmakers and President Biden has proposed a variety of solutions to aid consumers. These include a 3-month relaxation of the tax on gas. However, as of late June there was nothing concrete being examined by Congress. While President Trump has even proposed a national gas tax holiday however, he’s been unable to find any feasible legislation to fund it.
