While President Trump has even proposed that a national tax holiday on gas but he is unable to find any legal way to fund it.
They’re controversial
No matter the politics behind the idea gas rebate cards are an important tool to help Americans cope with the costs of fuel. However, they’ve met with some resistance. A couple of months ago House Democratic counsel was critical of the idea, saying that it would create inflation, was too expensive, and was not well targeted.
