The federal government hasn’t come up with the Gas Rebate act of 2022 , however it is currently considering the idea and some states and cities have already passed legislation to support it. Checks for inflation rebates are designed to help people cope with the rising cost of living. While it is not a federal program the majority of these rebates are issued by state governments from surpluses. The federal government needs to think about this scheme for a practical way to counter the rising price of gasoline and other commodities.
