Some politicians in New York state have also suggested suspending the state’s gas tax of 33.3 cents per gallon.

While the federal government isn’t attempting to implement any kind of stimulus package state lawmakers and President Biden have presented a variety proposals to help consumers. These include a 3 month period of a gas tax vacation. In the final days of June, there’s nothing concrete to be debated by Congress. It will take a few months before gas rebates start with every state. While President Trump has suggested nationwide gas tax holidays however, he hasn’t found any law that would allow him to fund the holiday.
