Although the federal government has not trying to put together any type of stimulus package, state lawmakers and President Biden have proposed various proposals to aid consumers. They include a 3-month time-frame for the holiday of gas taxes. As of the end of June it is unclear what is being debated by Congress. It will be some time before gas rebates begin for every state. While President Obama has offered to extend a national gas tax holiday but he is unable to find any legal way to fund it.
